'Broadway' dinner benefits Strand Theater Initiative

ZELIENOPLE — The Strand Theater Initiative and the Kaufman House will have a theme dinner to raise money for the theater's renovation.

Set for 6:30 p.m. April 26, the fundraising dinner, dubbed "A Night on Broadway," will feature food, decorations and an atmosphere that pays tribute to popular Broadway musicals.

Each course of the five-course dinner will also match a theme of a well-known production.
The dinner was organized by Nicole Gordon, a Youngstown State University senior who is majoring in hospitality management and is interning at the restaurant. Gordon is a borough native.

Tickets for the dinner are $50 and include food, entertainment and two drinks. Seating is limited. Tickets are available by calling the Kaufman House at 724-452-8900 or at the restaurant on 105 S. Main St.

The initiative is a nonprofit corporation working to revive the Strand as a performing arts, education and community outreach center.
