Film series will benefit Strand

ZELIENOPLE — The Strand Theater Initiative's Summer Classic Film Series is continuing this weekend with "Back to the Future."

The movie, which will be shown behind the Main Street theater, will start at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The series will continue each weekend when the theater will show:

• Aug. 11: "Arsenic & Old Lace
• Aug 18 and 19: "Toy Story"
• Aug. 15 and 26: "Star Trek VI:The Undiscovered Country"

The theater also is sponsoring the New North Community Day at PNCPark in Pittsburgh Aug. 12 when the Pirates take on the St. Louis Cardinals.

The "Strand Community Choir" will sing the national anthem and a portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Strand's capitol campaign.

Tickets are available from the theater at www.thestrandtheater.org, or by calling 724-742-0400.
The theater also will benefit from Butler Community Day at PNCPark on Aug. 14, when the theater will again receive a portion of ticket sales.
