Celebrate Our Nation's Independence in Grand Fashion with a Full Symphony Concert in Zelienople Community Park


The Strand Theater is proud once again to present The Pittsburgh Philharmonic for a full symphony concert in Zelienople Community Park on July 4th leading up to the borough’s fireworks display! You’ll hear patriotic favorites and moving arrangements by some of the country’s best-loved composers. It’s a stirring way to celebrate our nation’s independence with hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks while enjoying a full symphony concert and dramatic fireworks!

This is a FREE event to be enjoyed by family and friends from all over the region! How many Main Street, USA towns do YOU know that can boast such an extravagant musical experience leading up to the community fireworks display?!


The Pittsburgh Philharmonic is a 70-member symphony orchestra, and has been performing for nearly 40 years! The orchestra offer new and original performances in community settings. The orchestra performs 10-15 concerts per year, including a classical and a summer pops season. The Philharmonic promotes music education through a variety of offerings, including annual festivals, side-by-side performances with students, and a summer student participation program.

In partnership with Friends of the Park and Zelienople Borough, The Strand Theater is able to present The Pittsburgh Philharmonic in Zelie Park starting at approximately 8:15pm. The concert will continue right up until the first rocket’s red glare!

There's just no better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a full symphony concert followed by fireworks!  Don't miss this patriotic event that is FREE to the public!
